Mike worked for the Department for Education for 19 years, including a secondment to be Secretary to the Further Education Funding Council for England – 1993 to 1997. Mike was Principal Private Secretary to David Blunkett and Estelle Morris – 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2009, he worked at the General Social Care Council, regulating social workers in England as Director, Deputy Chief Executive and then Chief Executive.
Mike started his own business in coaching and project management 2010 to 2017, working amongst others for the Z/Yen Group as an associate. He took up his current post as Head of Indices for Z/Yen in September 2017, managing the Global Financial Centres Index, the Global Green Finance Index.
