Danny will share with moderator Dr Mimi Ajibadé the role he played in the UK joining AIIB as a member in 2015, the bank’s founding vision and 10-year corporate strategy from 2021, and the disruption of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Hear Danny’s insights into China’s Belt & Road Initiative and its road blocks, his views on shifting plates in geo-politics in the Indo-Pacific region, how AIIB plans to tackle climate change in Asia and more.

Speaker bio:  As Vice President for Policy and Strategy, Danny drives AIIB’s strategic direction, its sectoral and country priorities, investment strategy, programming and operating budget. 

Danny joined the Bank in February 2016 as its Corporate Secretary. Before this, he was Chief Secretary to the Treasury of the United Kingdom and was one of the leaders of UK’s coalition government between 2010 and 2015. He holds a BA in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford and is an honorary fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford.

He was knighted in 2015.
